Dog breeders may give training to a puppy.
The dog is inactive indoors and will do OK without a yard. However, it has to be exercised daily. The breed is an average shedder. It does not need a lot of grooming. The lifespan of the dog is about 10-12 years. The dogs can be susceptible to hip dysplasia and often have difficulties during births.
